Description

This course is dedicated to diabetes care, providing caregivers with essential knowledge and skills to effectively manage and support clients with diabetes. The training covers the basics of diabetes, monitoring and managing blood sugar levels, recognizing and responding to symptoms, and promoting a healthy lifestyle for individuals with diabetes. ​ Requirement:  A computer with audio/video capability is required; mobile devices are not recommended. ​ Additional Notes: The course includes 8 hours of Zoom sessions. All training materials, including manuals and guides, will be provided electronically prior to the start of the course. Live Q&A sessions are available during the Zoom classes to address any questions or concerns in real-time. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions and activities to enhance their learning experience. ​ Examination and Certification: At the end of the course, on the same day, you will take an exam. You must score 80% or higher to pass the exam and receive a certificate. Once you pass the exam, the DSHS-approved certificate will be emailed to you the same day.
